During Ask a Marketing Expert I asked a question about your favorite statement about social media marketing — I’m collecting quotes to use in the book.  I got some great suggestions and we’ll use a number of these in the social media marketing book.  I’m looking for lots more quotes so, if your interested in having a piece of the book, give me your favorite statement about social media marketing.

My plan is to use these quotes as part of the opening to each chapter, as well as spread them throughout the chapters.  So, I need lots more great quotes.  You can enter them on the Fanpage or as a comment here.  Just think how cool it’ll be to have your quote show up in my social media marketing book.  We’ll include your name and business.  We may even include pictures of folks who give us REALLY GOOD quotes.

We’re working on editing the book, so you have lots of time to think about social media marketing and give use something fabulous for the book.  But, hurry before you forget.

Converting Mobile Marketing

We also had a question from Barry McLawhorn that didn’t get answered.  I’ll add it here and put it up again next week in the hopes of getting an answer.

Hi Angie, I have a question for someone who is an expert at mobile marketing. After a person responds to a mobile donation request is there a way to “upsell” the contributor to either a monthly contribution (versus a single donation) and/or a larger donation than the gift they initially offered?

For example, if the Red Cross had been raising funds for Haiti and a person texted to donate $10.00, then after that donation was recorded, could you prompt the donar to make their donation a continuous donation of $10.00 per month (by clicking or texting to confirm). Thus potentially turning a one time emotional donation into a $120 per year gift.
